Promotions by friends of
The Los Angeles International Pen Show

The details of Prizes and Promotions provided at the 2009 LA Pen Show by friends of The Los Angeles International Pen Show are below.

Your hosts of the LA Pen Show are proud to hold its 21st LA Pen Show in 2009.  This is a special date since it is also the 20th Anniversary of this Show.  After our long heritage with this incredible event, a decision was made to let our guests know how much we appreciate your attendance at the LA Pen Show.  This began as an idea and within a few short days the idea looked like it could become a reality.  As a result, at the Pen Show in 2009, the first 1,000 paid adults (limit 1/family) will receive an incredibly beautiful calendar; free of charge!  Yes, I said FREE.  But you can also buy one until the supply is exhausted.  It’s a great idea to give one to your friends or neighbor who might decide to join you at the Pen Show the following year.

This was made possible by dear friends of this show who helped the funding of the calendar.  While the LA Pen Show is doing the work to actually “make” the calendar, the cost is borne by several people.  We encourage you to visit with them at the Pen Show.  Those involved who are nearly always at this show are:

  1. Rob and Rita Lott – They attend nearly all pen shows and buy and sell pens, usually vintage items and Rita is serious about collecting painted pens.  Contact Rita at rtlott@cableone.net;
  2. Greg Minuskin – An incredible craftsman who can make a nib to your desires.  www.GregMinuskin.com
  3. Bill Acker – A man who has every type of brochure that one could desire; often containing information about pens that isn’t available elsewhere. www.BillsPens.com
  4. Fred Krinke – A good friend located in the greater LA area who has been involved in selling and repairing pens since 1924.  Contact Fred at (626) 294-9974
  5. Detlef Bittner – A local LA retailer of both new and vintage pens.  He now also has a shop in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He nearly always has some of the rare pens at good prices.  www.Bittner.com
  6. Ken Jones - The National Sales Manager of Visconti pens as distributor of incredible new pens with great designs.  www.ViscontiUSA.com
  7. Gary Lehrer - deals in the finest quality vintage pens from the US and around the world, fully restored and guaranteed, and publishes the Quarterly Illustrated Vintage Pen Catalog.  He always has a large selection available.  Visit at www.GoPens.com
  8. Scott Franklin - The man behind the manufacture and marketing of the beautiful and well crafted Franklin-Christoph pens. www.Franklin-Christoph.com
  9. Dave Ushkow – A man who buys and sells some of the rarest pens around, with a cache of various incredible pens.  www.Pen-Site.com
  10. Maryann and Steve Zucker – Two nice people who design and sell new fountain pens and ballpoints that work great and have wonderful designs.  www.EmpirePens.com
  11. Sam and Frank Fiorella – Two more nice people who attend nearly all pen shows and who always have rare items for sale and an incredible supply of nearly every type of ink one might desire.  www.Pendemonium.com
  12. And; of course “The LA Pen Show: itself – How could we not have a page on the calendar since we host the show? You may reach us at www.LAPenShow.com

Be sure to get to the Pen Show early and pick up your calendar before the supply is exhausted!  We hope to see you there.
